Bone Horn

These horns are hand carved in Bali by a special supplier. Proceeds from the sale of these goes towards the purchase of colouring books, pencils and note books for the local children of the Ubud villages ♥

The material is from the domestic water buffalo, Bubalus bubalis, a bovine animal similar to the cow, used throughout Asia as a plough animal in the rice paddies that produce the staple food of this part of the world.

The material used in our products is sourced in Indonesia and the animals are not harmed for their bone or horn to be used in human ornamentation. It is a bi-product of animals that have come to the end of their life after being used for work and food - milk and sometimes meat.

Horn has been used for thousands of years in traditional jewelry and other ornaments throughout the world.
